Welcome to my site. I have tried to separate the site into personal and professional sections, though it's sometimes hard to make the distinction between them.
My professional life has been focused on software, and divided almost evenly between industry and academia. I've had the chance to see a lot of the world and to live with my family in both Amsterdam and Geneva. We've lived in San Francisco since 1972, and can't think of anywhere we would rather live.
